RESTAURANTS
Cordillera Cafe
The Cafe is located at the Cordillera Town
Center, in the community Post Office building. This unique stop was originally
designed as a market and coffee shop for the Cordillera community and has
since evolved to offer breakfast and lunch, catering, a gourmet market, and
unique special event opportunities. The restaurant and market also boasts
a 75-seat patio – perfect for a peaceful meal or snack.
Grouse on the Green
Grouse on the Green offers a truly authentic Irish pub-style experience—the
interior was designed in Ireland and shipped to Cordillera for installation.
The menu features classic foods such as shepherd’s pie and fish and
chips, as well as Continental cuisine with a Colorado twist and a wide variety
of microbrew beers.
Mirador
Offering spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains,
Mirador tempts diners with regional fare and seasonal specialties created
by renowned chef Fabrice Beaudoin. An extensive wine list combined with an
innovative menu and beautiful scenery – inside and out - create a truly
memorable experience.
Timber Hearth Grille
Timber Hearth Grille offers inspired American
cuisine with a Western flair, including menu items such as veal chops stuffed
with proscuitto. A variety of starters and a comprehensive list of French
and California wines complement the menu, along with the three-story river
rock fireplace, cozy furniture and picture windows overlooking the golf course.
Horse-drawn sleigh rides are available during the winter season.
CORDILLERA
WINTER ACTIVITIES
Winter activities include downhill and cross-country skiing,
snowshoeing, ice skating, dog sledding, and horse-drawn sleigh rides. Property
owners and their guests also have access to the Cordillera Vail Club at the
base of Vail mountain, which features a ski concierge, equipment storage
and food and beverage service.
CORDILLERA SUMMER ACTIVITIES
Activities available
during the summer include golf, hiking, horseback riding, private fly-fishing,
whitewater rafting, four-wheel adventures, tennis, and sporting clays.
CORDILLERA VAIL CLUB
Cordillera’s newest property owner amenity
opens March 1st 2007. The Cordillera Vail Club is a year-round private club
located in Vail Village at the top of Bridge Street, steps from the base
of Vail Mountain. The Cordillera Vail Club is designed to provide members
and Cordillera property owners with the most convenient locale for experiencing
the array of exciting events the Town of Vail has to offer. This handsome
club offers a warm, welcoming retreat with ample storage, stunning views
and exceptional access to both the village and the mountain. All of Cordillera's
property owners, members and non-members alike, will benefit from access
to this quality recreational and social amenity.
CORDILLERA GOLF CLUB
Cordillera features four championship
golf courses, designed by the greatest names in golf – Jack Nicklaus,
Hale Irwin, Tom Fazio and Dave Pelz. Challenging courses, breathtaking scenery
and topnotch facilities make Cordillera one of the world’s premier golf
destinations. Cordillera’s four courses are private, however guests of
the Lodge & Spa at Cordillera may play during their stay.
The Mountain
Course
7,413 yards, par 72, elevation 8,250 feet Open from June through
September A Hale Irwin Signature Design inspired by the undulating terrain
and postcard setting, the Mountain Course is simply exhilarating. Capturing
the feel of the landscape was especially important to Hale Irwin, who grew
up in Colorado. The three-time U.S. Open champion was committed to preserving
the area's inherent natural qualities, while creating an extraordinary course.
Formerly a working ranch, the land spans ridges, meadows and forests, which
bring into play a variety of challenges.
The Summit Course
7,530 yards, par 72, elevation
9,000 feet Open from June through September A Jack Nicklaus Signature Design
crafted on 190 mountaintop acres at 9,000 feet, the Summit Course is an 18-hole,
7,530-yard par-72 that takes advantage of the natural, rolling terrain of
sage and spruce-covered hills, with stunning views of the Rockies. Nicklaus
was able to create additional open space to protect the community's natural
beauty and improve hiking and recreational access to three million acres
of the neighboring White River National Forest. The Valley Course: 7,005
yards, par 71, elevation 7,200 feet Open from April to October A Tom Fazio
Signature Design with its high-mountain-desert topography, the Valley Course
is dramatically different from the Mountain and Summit Courses. Lower in
elevation by 2,100 feet and blessed with primarily southern exposure, it
offers an extended playing season. Tom's goal was to incorporate the natural
terrain while enhancing the beauty of the area and ensuring an abundance
of open space. The course's wide-open fairways do just that.
The Short Course
1,252 yards, par 27,
elevation 7,800 feet Open from June through September A Dave Pelz Signature
Design, the Short Course is one of two in the world. It integrates Dave's
own short game philosophy. Each hole is less than 130 yards, but features
challenging shots and tight bunkering. The ten-hole Short Course lies high
on the mountain, so it provides a fabulous view of the Vail Valley. It's
sophisticated enough for serious players who wish to develop a stronger short
game, while providing a fun, relaxed golf experience for every ability level.
